Keep warm roadshow at Spennymoor Fire Station

Join us for a Keep Warm, Keep Well coffee morning at Spennymoor Fire Station on Wednesday 25 October between 10.00am and 12.00noon.

Free refreshments will be available and everyone will get a Keep Warm Keep Well information pack to take away with them.

Our team will be doing all they can to offer the help and information people need to keep warm and safe this winter.

Ian our PAT testing volunteer is coming to carry out free safety checks on small household electrical items such as kettles, hair dryers, electric blankets or heaters. Let us know if you might need a hand carrying items in from your car.

Liz from our information and Advice Team will be present to help you save money and to assist you in making sure you are receiving any benefits they may be entitled to or support to grants to help you afford to keep your home warm.

Our Come Eat Together team will be promoting their activities providing good food with good company.

Our Beat the Scammers team will have plenty of tips on how to handle nuisance telephone calls and will take referrals to install free call blockers in the homes of those in need of extra help.

Fire Officers will be available to offer advice and support to older people.
